He has conducted studies in Mau Forest and Nyeri on the socio-economic impacts of carbon credit markets on indigenous communities and collaborated on clean energy initiatives. Monroe is involved in the RURALITIES project, empowering rural farmers with climate-smart technologies, and works on the STREM initiative for river health management.
