Eric Magale has over 13 years work experience spanning research, business advisory and finance. His research seeks to answer critical questions on development, particularly in relation to livelihoods, and their relation to the increasingly complex world of finance. He is the author of Debt and Financial Inclusion: Digital Lending and Co-operative Societies (Routledge). Eric has led and supported several policy-relevant research projects, most recently a project exploring the governance of SDGs in the context of constrained financing and complex interactions of the SDGs. Eric completed a PhD in Development Studies at the University of Pretoria and a Master’s in Development Finance at the University of Cape Town and is a Chartered Accountant (ACCA).
