Samuel Mibey is an experienced researcher, data analyst and grants manager in the fields of economics, environmental management and science technology and innovation Programs. He is working at ACTS in Supporting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) research culture in Africa through building of institutional capacity for computing research in Kenya project. The focus of this project is co-creation and evaluation of the initial programmes that address institutional barriers to building research capacity; and conducting further policy-relevant research to advance knowledge about institutional capacity building and better understand how the pilot strategy might be applied to other STEM fields in African countries specifically in building capacity of African Professionals on Innovation and Development Research.
At ACTS he is also spearheading the Listen4Influence (L4I) Project a pilot exercise to design and implement a feedback survey to encourage policy research and advocacy organizations to increase the impact of their work by soliciting feedback on their performance from their target audiences in Africa.
Before joining ACTS he was an Economic analyst at Ilovi Consulting Engineers where he engaged in consultancy Services for feasibility studies in the fields of engineering road design, environmental and social impact assessments.
He holds a BSc in Economics and is currently pursuing a Masters in Economics from the University of Nairobi.
