Nora Ndege is a research fellow at the African Centre for Technology Studies. Her areas of interest and expertise include; agricultural innovation systems, knowledge systems, knowledge transfer, science technology and innovation and policy evaluation. Prior to joining ACTS, she was a research fellow at the World Agroforestry Centre where she carried out research on access and use of knowledge on fruit processing technologies. As a consultant, Nora has conducted extensive evidence-based social-economic research to support programs of different organizations including training in agricultural value chains course as well as gender approaches to agricultural extension. She pioneered set up of the Kenya National chapter for African Women in Agricultural Research and Development and is currently the chairperson. She has won several Awards including being an AWARD fellow 2015 and a Growing the Future Fellow 2016 by Centre for Strategic and International Studies that focused on innovations from young agriculture entrepreneurs.
Academically, Nora holds a master’s degree in Agricultural Information and Communication Management from the University of Nairobi with a focus on innovation for development.
Nora is passionate about mentoring young people and empowering agricultural communities in Africa.
