Biodiversity Atlas of the Natural Capital for Kenya

The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Government of Kenya enlisted support from a consortium of National and international experts and researchers to produce the first Biodiversity Atlas of the Natural Capital for Kenya. The Atlas project, which was coordinated by the African Conservation Centre (ACC), brought together national agencies, universities, non-government organizations, and academic institutions. The Atlas was launched on November 17, 2015 at a ceremony held at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.

Natural Capital Protocol

Natural capital accounting enables companies and businesses to measure and manage their environmental impacts in a more effective way. Businesses are increasingly recognizing natural capital as a critical uptake in their decision making endeavors. However the methodology and ideology to pick the exercise are limiting. Making the protocol valuable to business users is critical to develop guidance in natural capital accounting undertakings.
